Towards Modern Inventory Management
With SDNit as part of the project team, Telenor embarked on its journey towards a modernized infrastructure, a process that required not only an extensive technical overhaul but also a strategic restructuring of their network operations.
The collaboration covered everything from initial planning to final implementation, with a particular emphasis on integrating advanced technology for network automation and streamlining processes. Cisco NSO also played a key role as the configuration engine. On top of this, a custom system was developed to manage all service and infrastructure data, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
Another important step in the modernization process involved handling the unique situation where Telenor Norway and Sweden had previously shared a common IP network and provisioning system. In this project, SDNit will also support Telenor through this transition, ensuring that both countries can continue their operations without disruption while a new, independent system is implemented for Sweden.
